Episode Description

As Halloween approaches, we start to think of skeletons and ghosts. So, this show is perfect to get you in the 'spirit'. Today's guest, Margo Lenmark, is the author of a new book, Light in the Mourning: Memoirs of an Undertaker's Daughter. You might think that growing up in a Midwestern funeral home would be morbid and traumatize a child forever, but Margo's life took a special turn. She learned that death is not the end, and can actually teach us all how to live better lives. Each time she's lost a loved one, they have given her a gift: messages of wisdom that have inspired her to appreciate each moment and each person in her life. First, her college boyfriend died in a car accident and sent her on a quest to understand the meaning of life. Then her older brother died unexpectedly on Halloween and kept coming back to her in her dreams until she reached him on a shamanic journey. Later, her parents died. Now she shares these intimate revelations in hopes it will make your life better.
