Linda J. Smith
Linda J. Smith MPH, IBCLC, FACCE, FILCA (a.k.a. "Coach Smith") has been helping mothers and babies with breastfeeding for more than 20 years. A private practice lactation consultant in Dayton, Ohio, Linda is the founder and educator for Bright Future Lactation Resource Center, which she operates with her husband Denny. An active member of the Greater Miami Valley Breastfeeding Coalition, Linda was one of he founders of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) and the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA). Linda has served on ILCA's Professional Education Council and the United States Breastfeeding Committee. A Lamaze-certified childbirth educator, Linda provides education for expectant parents, and serves on the steeering committee for the Coalition to Improve Maternity Services (CIMS) to work to link the birthing and breastfeeding professional communities.
