Doug Everhart

Doug Everhart has a B.S. in Engineering and a M.A. (Education/Counseling), both from the University of Redlands. He began his student affairs career at his alma mater with positions in housing, career development, recreation, Greek life and student activities. He eventually found his passion in substance abuse prevention, and spent eight years starting and building a program. In 1998, he was hired as a Health Educator at UC Riverside to focus on substance abuse and sexual health, as well as to build a peer education program. During his 12 years at UCR, he built a comprehensive health education program and a nationally acclaimed peer education program. His expertise and experience has also earned him advisory and consulting roles with The BACCHUS Network, the NCAA, APPLE Conferences, Step Up bystander training program and No Woman Left Behind. He arrived at UC Irvine as the new Alcohol Programs Manager in August of 2010, was named Interim Director in February of 2011.
