Don Hill


Don Hill has worked in the professional theatre as director, stage manager, production manager, producer in a distinguished 35-year career spanning both coasts. He directed over 30 productions including the world premiere of the critically acclaimed play THE LAST LIFEBOAT (an untold story about the sinking of the Titanic) by Luke Yankee in the fall of 2014. There are now 20 productions nationally. At the LA Theatre Center, Hill stage managed the world premier of NANAWATI by William Mastrosimone. For 13 years, Hill served on the board of LA STAGE ALLIANCE that created the Ovation Awards, celebrating excellence in the LA Theatre. Under Hill’s guidance, the Ovation Awards show honored such theatre greats as Stephen Sondhiem and August Wilson. Mr. Hill heads the Graduate Stage Management program at UC Irvine. In February, Hill will direct the world premiere of THE MAN WHO KILLED THE CURE by Luke Yankee, a controversial, new drama dealing with the suppression of natural cures in the US.
