Nique Pichette MSN, RN

Nique was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41. After a total left sided mastectomy due to DCIS and estrogen positive invasive cancer combined, Nique’s breast cancer returned 18 months later in the form of a tumor under her left arm. After testing and discussion with her treatment team. Nique learned that she would have to undergo 16 weeks of chemotherapy and 33 radiation treatments and it was during this time that Nique learned of her allergies to traditional medicine. The antiemetics caused symptoms of akathisia, EPS and restless legs, and the hormone replacement therapy such as Tamoxifen brought Nique back to a world of severe depression and suicidality. That is when Nique decided to look further into the world of alternative therapy and with the help of Steven Placek, got her medical card and started to learn and work with cannabis as medicine.
