Kofi Adoma
Dr. Robinson is a clinical psychologist in Detroit where she is a native and resident. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Oberlin College, and her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Robinson serves as a psychotherapist at a juvenile court psychiatric clinic in Detroit and at another clinic in the evenings. She has taught Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan including LGBT Studies and Multicultural Group Process. She supervises master’s level students at the Michigan School of Professional Psychology where she teaches Family Therapy. Dr. Robinson conducts cultural competency trainings for mental health providers and educators. She has published articles on the psychology of Black lesbian adults and youth. The latest is a book chapter on Black LGBTQ/GNC youth in juvenile justice. Dr. Robinson is a co-founder of the Ruth Ellis Center which serves at-risk homeless LGBTQ/GNC youth.
