Clinton Portis played running back at the University of Miami from 1999-2001. Clinton led the Miami Hurricanes to the National Championship in 2001, Portis had his best season rushing for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns on 220 carries 5.5 avg. He also added 125 receiving yards. In the Rose Bowl against Nebraska, Portis ran for 104 yards and a touchdown.April 10,2014 Clinton was inducted into the UM Sports Hall of Fame . Denver Broncos drafted Portis 51 overall in the 2002 NFL Draft . Clinton Portis played for Denver Broncos from 2002-2003 and Washington Redskins 2004-2010 . As of 2017's NFL season, Clinton Portis held at least 18 Broncos franchise records . Clinton ran for 1200 yards 6 of his 9 NFL season,2× Pro Bowl (2003, 2008)
