Annika Klopp

Annika Klopp is a general pediatrician in both an ambulatory care setting and Winnipeg’s Children’s Emergency Department, as well as a hospital providing inpatient services for children admitted from Northern Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and Nunavut. Her interests include early childhood experiences (especially breastfeeding, literacy) and their effects in later life. Dr. Klopp completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Northern British Columbia, her medical school training at the University of British Columbia and her pediatric residency at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Klopp has been a Special Olympics coach and Canadian Red Cross Regional Member. Her experience with an "Art Days" project with a First Nationals community brought new meaning to cultural competency/safety. As a future physician, Annika is keen to continue discovering creative solutions to address health concerns of vulnerable people.
