Richard Brodsky is HIV+ since 1997, a brain cancer since 2002 and a marathon runner for life. The Richard M. Brodsky Foundation was established in 2004 to offer hope to people living with HIV and cancer. The Foundation sponsors two major Events every year: the 14th annual World AIDS Marathon in Kisumu, Kenya will be held on World AIDS Day. In addition to the marathon the Foundation has sponsored 33 orphan dinner dances for 9,300+ Kenyan orphans and provided medical care for 1,800+ Kenyan orphans. In America, the Foundation will be sponsoring its 13th annual 5K AIDS Cancer Run Walk in Baldwin, Long Island on June 8, 2020. According to the Internet, Richard is the only runner in the world who runs marathons and is living with HIV and brain cancer. Richard also wrote a book titled “Jodi, the Greatest Love Story Ever Told”, as a gift to his wife, for keeping his family loving and whole and a plea to get AIDS medicine to AIDS sufferers all around the world.
