If we really want to break down the boundaries and have diversity in all industry sectors, we had better start reversing the trends, and one of the most difficult sectors to do this in is technology. The number of women that tech companies employ has declined from 37 percent in 1995 to 24 percent in 2016, and this trend should really be going the other way. There are many reasons why this industry belongs at the top of the list of industries that do not promote and, in many instances, do not hire women for important jobs. This episode explores some of those reasons. This episode also sends a message to the tech industry. You must start integrating women into leadership roles, senior management, and middle management positions because Information Technology is the future, and we cannot exclude 50% of its users in as this industry grows. Our guest today has done a lot of research and a lot of thinking on how we can reverse these trends and get more women into the technology sector.

She is a certified executive and systemic team coach. Kimberli specializes in cross-cultural leadership training, diversity implementation and leadership training for women and provides training and consulting for several international companies. Kimberli currently serves as Board member of the Search and Information Industry Association, Europe. She is an American national, owner of the international company Global Business Therapy s.r.o. and partner of the Academy of Executive Coaching London.
